Born on December 19th, 1964 in Odivelas, Portugal. He spent some time in Canada where he studied photography at the Halifax Community Campus College and through the New York Institute of Photography,USA. João (or John as he is more commonly known) went on to win acclaimed awards, including first prize in the Multicultural Photography competition in Dartmouth, Canada. His career has included exhibitions on both sides of the Atlantic. João now lives and works in Lagos, Portugal.

However, the beauty of this country has inspired him to create a collection which shows Portugal in a different way which we uaually see.

The cameras utilized were CANON EOS 20D, Digital and the CANON EOS A2E, Analogic.
